A few years ago we redesigned the garden surrounding the old house that holds Eric Wiegardt's art gallery. Instead of a barkscape of rhododendrons, we added a variety of plants. When you enter the gallery, you'll see that sometimes Eric paints subjects from the garden: Lavatera, daisies, cosmos. We made a new border so that you enter the front door between banks of flowers: Lavatera 'Barnsley', Tulip 'Angelique', Sedum 'Autumn Joy', Knautia macedonica, Cosmos, Armeria maritima, Salvia viridis, Oregano 'Herrenhausen', Scabiosa 'Butterfly Blue', Rosa 'Frederic Mistral', Pineapple Sage, Oriental lilies, Salvia 'Aromas', Erysimum 'Bowles' Mauve', Godetia, Shasta daisies, Cerinthe major purpurascens, Blue Oat Grass, Miscanthus, Santolina, and more. Here are some photos of the garden through the seasons. |
